Recovery words used by many wallets to derive the keys that control an account.
In more detail
The words are recovery material, not a password for a website. Someone obtaining the required recovery material can usually recreate the signing keys. A separate passphrase or another scheme can add requirements. Restoring also needs compatible wallet conventions, so the words do not make every app interchangeable.
