Testnet
A separate blockchain network intended for testing software and applications.
In more detail
A testnet has its own history and test assets, letting developers try transactions without using the production network's funds. Passing a test is useful evidence about that scenario, but production can have different demand, liquidity or configurations. Test networks may also change or be retired as development needs evolve.
How you might use it
You deploy the contract with test ETH, leaving your mainnet ETH untouched while you try the test-network workflow.
