  • Jupiter is a cryptocurrency exchange platform highlighted for its features like token swapping, setting limit orders, and bridging assets within the Solana ecosystem. It focuses on facilitating various trading operations, aiming to enhance user experience in the crypto trading space.

The platform emphasizes ease of use, security, and efficient trading across different tokens on the Solana blockchain, supporting a diverse range of crypto assets and trading strategies.

“Jupiter aims to revolutionize the crypto trading landscape on Solana, offering a seamless, secure, and efficient platform for traders and developers alike.”

  • “Sen”- The slang term making fun of a misspelled demand found in the chatrooms of every crypto casino.  Shortened from Send, this three-letter term is an unhidden form of panhandling. The purest form of cringe begging.   Sometimes in crypto gaming chatrooms, it is frowned upon to beg so blatantly. To avoid getting muted by casino moderators,  as a response, the community collectively grew its own pop-culture sub-slang.

Examples of ways to say “Send” without saying it are: Sen, San, Sand, Sanna and many variations including hints and clues with these terms. The example below utilizes a word play meant to sound like the words “Oh when will you send?

When the disgruntled gambler lost his final bet on dice he disguised a request inside the name of a famous actor when he said ”  “Owen WilSen?”

  • Solana – Solana is a high-performance blockchain platform designed for decentralized applications and crypto-native projects. It aims to provide fast, secure, and scalable blockchain solutions to support the growing demands of decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other decentralized applications (dApps).

Solana achieves its high performance through its innovative consensus mechanism called Proof of History (PoH) combined with a high-performance protocol called Tower BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance). This architecture allows Solana to process thousands of transactions per second, making it one of the fastest blockchain networks in existence.

“I’m excited about the potential of Solana to revolutionize the blockchain space with its high performance and scalability. It’s definitely a project to keep an eye on!”

  • “Wen”- A slang misspelling of the word when.  This usually is part of a short question with badly appointed grammar. In crypto gaming chatrooms people can be seen asking repeatedly asking “Wen Moon?”  and they are actually saying “When will I be rich?”

The misspelling of when, to “wen” is intentional, but its origin stems from chat participants that were struggling to learn conversational English.  Now it has morphed into a slang term used by seasoned players who know better. Most of the time word wen is part of a very short question containing only two words.

The disgruntled gambler asked loudly to nobody in particular, “Wen rich?”

  • “Degen”- Short for degenerate, this slang term refers to a sinking level of moral awareness and is a rite of passage phase for cryptocurrency gamblers. While the term sounds negative it is used among friends in social chatrooms in an affectionate way.

Being among degens means you are not alone in a world where winning feels impossible.  Degens gather and joke about losses and it is a form of bonding rather than an insult.

“We were such degens last night when we played all our crypto on that silly dice game.”

  • “Lambo”- A shortened version of a fancy vehicle, a Lamborghini, which in the case of cryptocurrency circles is a symbol of wealth.  People pair it with the word when to make a two-word question: “When Lambo?” This indicates lack of wealth and the desire to acquire some.

People use the term Lambo to entice traffic, to slyly promise riches without saying it in exact words and to tease the players in online gaming sites.  Sometimes people use the word Lambo in lieu of terms that mean money.

“Almost had a Lambo last night before I spent it all. Oh well.”

  • Hodl – A term derived from the misspelling of “hold,” originating in the cryptocurrency community. It’s used to encourage investors to hold onto their cryptocurrencies rather than selling them, especially during periods of market volatility.

The term gained popularity after a user on a Bitcoin forum misspelled “hold” in a post during a market downturn, and it has since become a widely used term in the cryptocurrency space. It’s often used as a mantra to promote the strategy of holding onto assets despite short-term fluctuations in value, with the belief that they will appreciate in the long run.

“I’m not selling my Bitcoin, I’m hodling for the long term.

  • “Busted” – A slang term originating from the cryptocurrency gaming sphere, used to signify the depletion of one’s digital currency holdings. When someone is “busted” It typically means they lost some crypto in an online wager. It is also sometimes said to be a passive way to beg or panhandle in a chatroom online.

For instance, a player might ruefully recount their experience of going “all in on red” in a virtual casino game,  indicating their disappointment at having depleted their cryptocurrency reserves due to an unsuccessful wager.

“I went all in on red and busted. Sad day.”

  • USDt, short for Tether, is a type of cryptocurrency known as a stablecoin that is designed to maintain a stable value equivalent to the US dollar. As a stablecoin, USDt aims to minimize price volatility, making it a popular choice for traders and investors seeking a reliable store of value or a medium of exchange within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

USDt achieves its price stability through mechanisms such as backing its tokens with fiat currency reserves held in bank accounts, regular audits to verify reserves, and maintaining a peg to the US dollar. This stability makes USDt a valuable tool for mitigating the risks associated with the volatile nature of other cryptocurrencies and providing liquidity to cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms.

“I rely on USDt as a stable and trusted asset within the cryptocurrency market, enabling me to navigate volatile conditions with confidence.”
